Waxing Tips
Why Wax?

Smooth Skin Is In!
Waxing is a hair removal service in which wax is applied to the skin and removed, removing the hair from the root. It is a fast and convenient service to getting smooth skin for weeks!
Waxing VS. Shaving
Shaving cuts only the visible part of the hair, which in turn you will see hair growing back thicker, longer, and much sooner than if the hair was waxed. Shaving is more likely to cause irritation to the skin. Waxing removes the hair from the root; therefore, the hair takes longer to grow back. So that means smoother, cleaner skin from 3 to 4 weeks depending on the person and their hair. With consistency and proper care of your skin, your hair will grow back thinner, and hair may cease to grow in some areas.
Pre-Waxing Tips
The Wax loves hair!
Do not shave the area for 2-3 weeks before your appointment. Hair should be the length of a sprinkle or grain of rice. Trimming is not necessary.
Let's Talk Sensitive Skin
Avoid scheduling your appointment if you are going to be in the sun for long periods of time the day before or after your appointment. Sunburn causes the skin to be sensitive and waxed skin will add to the sensitivity.

Waxing right before, during, or right after your menstrual cycle can cause the skin to be more sensitive to waxing. Although you can get waxed while on your menstrual cycle, it is encouraged to schedule your appointment in between menstrual cycles for a more pleasant experience.

Avoid caffeine and alcohol the day of your appointment as these will increase sensitivity.
Moisturizing & Exfoliating
Make sure that your skin is thoroughly moisturized and hydrated before your wax. It is important to moisturize your skin leading up to your wax and after your wax. It is also important to exfoliate the skin at least 2 days prior to your appointment to prepare the hair and skin for waxing. Do not exfoliate the skin the day of your appointment.
Post-Waxing Tips
24-hour Rule
After your skin has been waxed, your pores are open and are susceptible to bacteria. For 24 hours, avoid hot tubs, baths, hot showers, pools, tanning beds, and prolonged sun exposure.
Throw the razor away!
Never shave in between your appointments. Shaving sets you back to square one. The goal is to get your hair on the same growth cycle, so you get a smooth wax every time.
Exfoliating is key
Exfoliating ensures that your pores are free and clear of dead skin so that your hair can grow freely reducing the chances of ingrown hairs. Never exfoliate the day of your appointment. Wait up to 2 days after your appointment and every other day thereafter.
Moisturize your skin every day to get the best results from your wax. A great wax starts with healthy skin.
Consistency is Important
It is recommended that you wax consistently for the best results. Pre-booking your next appointment ensures that your wax appointments are on track.
